wednesday

i decided i should also blog about... nothing. besides the meaningful things. haha. or maybe it's all meaningful.

i am at work and freezing. i just drank a soda and it made me cold from the inside out. but i had to wash down that crunchy corner of the taco i ate that was poking my throat on the way down. youch.

i am tireds today. wait, i am tireds for the past 2 weeks. we are building up quite the sleep debt these days. just racking that debt up.

i decided one of my least favorite things is digging through hundreds of cabinets of drawers of microfilm reels to find one article located on one page of hundreds of pages of documents from 50 years ago. the stuff is fascinating, but the process of finding good stuff is not. however, as i was perusing my way through the cabinets on the 4th floor of the dark and dank library, i imagined myself playing the part of a smart young journalist combing through research documents for just the right answer. i was seeming rather brilliant until one of my reels of microfilm unhooked inside the machine and sent the entire reel spinning at an alarming speed until it hit the end of the roll and swung back and forth, SNAP rinrinrinrinrinrin, CLUNK, squeak... squeak... squeak. (gasp).

sometimes weird people are fun. sometimes they drive me crazy.

it's raining today and i have mud all over my boots. ellensburg looks gray.

I love this. I also mentioned to Matt today that Ellensburg was gray and gloomy today.

after reading about your adventurous perusing as a research journalist, i totally imagined this dark cavern with you climbing around in there, trying to find the right magazine with the right article. oh and my mouth dropped when i imagined your reel flying away from you. =/ but other than that your story is pretty funny, in a not laughing at you kind of way but more of a laughing with you kind of way.
