my tummy is a coffee drum.

i drank a lot of coffee this morning and felt that i probably should eat something in order to soak up some of it sloshing around in my tumtum. so when paula and heather and i headed down to the watering hole (water spout on the coke machine downstairs) i bought a blueberry scone at the coffee stand. i was delighted when they handed me a huge one. upon consuming the first bites i was immediately struck with the disgustingly gooey texture and taste of dough. just rude. paula told me to take it back, so i did. no money back for food products. so i got a good ol' dried out one to compensate for the raw one. i had lost my appetite. it's probably a perfectly good scone, but... i can't handle it now after the doughey one. don't blame me when you hear the water sound when i walk by. it's just the coffee sloshing around in there.

i wonder where my brother is today. he should have been back in the village by now from their visit to the remote island they went to last week. the people group on the island had only ever seen 2 white people ever before tim's group was to arrive. plus a 4-hour canoe ride to get there. can't wait to hear the story in his words.

i could potentially freak out right now about the amount of stuff i have to accomplish before 1pm tomorrow. if i could endure an all-nighter i'd certainly pull one, but i'm afraid that would be simply mental given my sleepy state and the fact that it's presently 10:26 am.

quiet, you.
