so i saw my first famous person today. ladies and gents, we spent the evening with jodie sweetin. oh yes, i will go there. stephanie tanner from FULL HOUSE. it is a scientific fact that her "how rude" this evening sounded identical to the one when she was 7. campus activities brought her to central and since matt is one of the programmers, i got to go with and get in early. they planned for a little under 300 to fit everybody in the theater. but get this: one hour before start time, the line stretched from the theater doors all across the 2nd floor of the student union building, down the office hallway, to the BOD office, and down the stairs. there were over 600 people in line at that point. so, a quick plan B was formed and we moved the event to the ballroom. we set up about 950 chairs and people still had to stand on the sides, so there was about 1000 people there tonight. such a great turnout, it was awesome to see. and once i thought about it, i was like c'mon, of course we should have expected this! our generation practically grew up with the tanners every friday night on TGIF and let's admit it, we all sneak in a little full house rerun every now and then... she was really honest about her story of addiction to crystal meth and how her life fell apart. i think her story has the power to reach out to a lot of college students struggling with addiction; it was a super good program.
paint a rose on your nose!
