growing towards Jesus

i have learned something huge from ken evans. how important it is to just grow. it is imperative for us to make sure we're growing and stretching ourselves in our knowledge of and relationship with HIM. i've learned the importance of just giving God my attention, even if all I have to say sometimes is, "God, i'm giving you my attention..." what are we doing if not growing further up and further in in HIM?

====

it's hard to watch christians make blanket statements with strong opinions that come across so offensive, and to watch them defend themselves with the name of christianity when it's so apparent, if they were growing in HIM they would think twice of uttering words that cause such damage and harm. that's hard for me. but i know i have done it, too. and i feel so sorry for every time i have. the best defense for it is to be so closely aligned with YHWH that my heart works to love people and the church before i'd ever think of stepping out with an argumentative attitude.

with an attitude that like of Jesus, one simply can't go wrong. departing from that is what causes such damage in our interactions with those who don't yet know. it's just my hope to reflect HIM, to be HIM to those who don't yet know.

O my Goodness how this has been on my heart as of late. Let's let all our holdings-on-to's and opinions be derived from our interactions with Jesus Christ, the one truth from beginning to end.
